On the top of the hill in Buda is Bug’s number one site to see: the Marzipan Museum. It has things made out of marzipan, which, as we all know, is Bug’s favorite flavor. There were pillows (weighing 60# each), an 8’ wedding cake, a life size statue of Hungary’s Queen Elizabeth, dioramas of all kinds of things (smurfs, Harry Potter, Shrek, nursery rhymes), models of famous buildings. As we were getting ready to leave, the evening rainstorm blew in. So far every evening between 5 and 7 a storm has blown in. It thunders, lightnings and dumps rain for about half an hour and then moves on leaving a lovely evening behind it. So we had to wait it out in the café at the museum eating ice cream sundaes. Too sad!
